Gender

Gender is determined by the pair of chromosomes that are the 23 pair. Females are XX and males are Xy. Females only contribute X's to their eggs created by meiosis, so it is the male that determines the gender of the child. To simulate the process, let the guy flip a coin. If the result it a "head" then it is a guy (y) and if it is tails, a girl (X).

Female (XX)
Male (Xy)
