Earlobe Attachment Earlobe attachment is referring to the way the bottom of the ear is connected to the head. "Free" dominant genes cause the ear to be lobed and the attachment to the head is generally in an upward direction. The recessive "attached" gene results in no lobe and a more horizontal attachment to the head.
