 Students will select and use appropriate tools and technology to perform tests, collect data, analyze relationships, and display data

1) Course syllabus due; outline ch 1 sect 1
2) Sci Meth introduction
3) Stinky Science Lab
4) Vocab & Cues Ch 1

 

Identify and communicate sources of unavoidable experimental error.

Identify possible reasons for inconsistent results, such as sources of error or uncontrolled conditions.

1) Vocab & Cues due (1st column of words given in class)
2) Taking the "stink" out of science
3) Discussion of Sci Meth

Homework: Finish vocab & cues; outline ch1 section 3

2) Presentation of groups experimental design to test "the weed" brought to class
3) Ch 1 Test over Sci Meth and Study of Life (25 MC question and 20 vocabulary fill in the blank)
4) Homework: Ch 18 section 1 outline (1 pg minimum)
