Students will know usable energy is captured from sunlight by chloroplasts and is stored through the synthesis of sugar from carbon dioxide.

1) Homework due: ch 6 vocab & cues
2) Zooming in on chloroplast structure discussion
3) Photosynthesis Lab using Elodea water plants: How does light intensity, CO2 concentration, or temperature affect the rate of photosynthesis?

Homework: Please draw the Figures 6-6, 6-7, & 6-8 on one side of a clean sheet of paper. On the other side, explain why as light intensity increases oxygen bubbles became more numerous in the lab trials. Please go for depth. Use the following terms in your explanation: photosystem I, photosystem II, primary electron acceptor, electron transport chain, NADP and NADPH. Show me what you've got! Please do not copy the book words.
