Genetics Problems Review
1) Cleft chin (AA or Aa) is a dominant trait over not having a cleft chin (aa). Bob's phenotype is without a cleft chin. He married Sally who has a cleft chin phenotype. Sally's mother did not have a cleft chin (significant when trying to figure Sally's genotype). What are the chances that Bob and Sally are going to have a daughter without a cleft chin?
2) Eye size is an incomplete dominance trait. There are large eyes (LL), medium eyes (Ll), and small eyes (ll). Breanna and Jorge decide to get married and both have medium eyes. What are the chances that they will produce 2 boys with large eyes?
3) Widows peak (WW or Ww) is a dominant trait over not having a widow's peak (ww). Catalina and Raul, heterozygous both for widow's peak and cleft chin, marry and decide to have children. What are the chances that they will produce a girl without a widow's peak and without a cleft chin?
